신혜란
신혜란 교수는 정치지리와 이동의 정치를 연구한다. 정치지리 분야에서는 특히 기억공간, 도시재생, 신도시, 환경담론 등에서 다양한 참여자들 사이에 나타나는 권력관계, 협상, 갈등, 협력, 파트너십, 적응기호를 중심으로 연구한다. 이동의 정치는 이민자, 이민자 밀집지역(조선족, 탈북자, 스리랑카, 베트남)을 살펴보아 세계화로 심화된 이동의 정치가 이민자의 삶에서 어떻게 나타나는지 연구한다. USC(University of Southern California)에서 이민자들의 젠더(gender), 일상문화, 빈곤, 역량에 관한 연구로 박사학위를 받았고, 2005년부터 2013년까지 런던대(UCL: University College London)에서 교수직을 역임했다.
